Hi all,
I'm off to Taba Heights, Red Sea, in October and was thinking about doing a formal AIDA freediving course. Does anyone know of dive schools in that vicinity which offer the course, or simular?

Cheers,
Andy

I don't know about Taba schools, anyway I was snorkelling in Aqaba (Jordan, just on the other side of the gulf, about 1 hour to cross via Eilat) and there is a diving school (seastar-watersports.com) there, but I'm not sure about AIDA.
Why I'm writing this - corals on Aqaba side are GREAT for snorkelling/freediving - you need no boat to get there, it starts just from the shore and it is very shallow (about 1m deep, but of course, there are passages to much deeper parts).
Just for the case you'd change your mind and would stay in Aqaba for a night or two - if you choose Alcazar hotel, they will take you to Seastar "club" right at that site (for free - that school and the hotel are connected somehow).
