View Full Version : Tobago snorkelling
We are a group of mid-life snorkellers who have been to the Maldives (perfect) Bonaire (Brilliant) and next want to try Tobago. I understand the diving, for the other half of our group, is good, but has anyone just snorkelled there?

I was in Tobago at the beginning of the year; we were on a cruise ship so unfortunately we were only there for a day. I was with non-diving friends and family so we opted for Pidgeon Point which is a very commercialised, burger-bar, watersports type beach. Very nice, but snorkling revealed nothing but sand.
While back on board the ship I found other passengers who had gone to Speyside beach (I think that's how its spelt) which they said was fantastic for snorkling. Local boat operators took snorklers out to a reef every hour or so.
Hope this helps - have fun!

Hi Kay
I took my wife snorkeling arround Little Tobago its great. Realy fast drifts and 30m Viz we saw Eagle rays and a V large free swimming green Moray :) there are lots of good sites. We hired a car and dropped in whenever we could but spent most of our 2 weeks in Speyside. Dale
