View Full Version : Protective body kit being worn!
I just wondered, following the auto responder thread, whether it might be a good thing to allocate all you BSACers with Viking names? I can see Victor the Horned and Belligerent being one if the possible names? :):):)
I never knew you BSACers were all so feisty http://londondnb.com/forums/images/smilies/mexicanwave.gif
....... of course, I'm from a PADI background and we are more into love and peace man and jus' chillin' :)

Obviously being an interloper I know not of the machinations of the BSAC members and their forum BUT maybe it might be an idea to put some Forum Netiquette instructions into the new members welcome post/email/forum message.

OK, I'm:-
Brúni Quickthews
Your Viking Personality: You're a fearsome Viking, but you aren't completely uncivilized. The other Vikings make fun of you for that. You have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. You might be able to hold your own on the battlefield, but you're no "berserker".
A long sea voyage aboard a Viking longboat would be difficult for you, but you might be able to manage it. Other Vikings consider you "one of the guys".
You have a fairly pragmatic attitude towards life, and tend not to expend effort in areas where it would be wasted. Due to your gregariousness, you don't strike fear into the hearts of your victims. Try to be a little more surly in the future.

Strange,
it appears that I am;
Tanni Steadythews
Your Viking Personality: You're a fearsome Viking, but you aren't completely uncivilized. The other Vikings make fun of you for that. You have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. As a Viking, you're one of the "berserkers", and rush into battle with no clothes on. If the sight of you naked isn't enough to disable the enemy, your sword certainly will be.

Can you get green wooly hats with wooly horns Bryan? If you need to be a horny Viking that is :)
Adrian
Remarkably similar nicht war?
Yes. We are obviously both well balanced people and, dare I say it, remarkably attractive to the opposite sex ........ I'm just not sure if I'd rather be a Steadythews or a Quickthews?

You have a fairly pragmatic attitude towards life, and tend not to expend effort in areas where it would be wasted. [Are you saying I'm lazy? ] You sometimes come off as a bit of a snob. Vikings are not snobbish people -- they either like you, or they kill you. Try to be more like a Viking.
Nothing new there then!
Cheers,
Tristan
I couldn't wait. Here is the Vic I imagine :)
Vébjörn the Fearsome
Your Viking Personality: You're a doughty, stalwart Viking. You have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. You're not a "berserker", but you're among the toughest sane Vikings around.
You can handle long sea voyages easily, despite the lack of amenities. You possess some skills which other Vikings respect, though in your case their respect is tinged with fear.
You don't have a lot of tact, so it's lucky Vikings never cared much for diplomacy. The only people who trust you completely are the ones who've never met you.
:)
Also I be:-
Your pirate name is:
Black Sam Kidd
Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

You would have a very tough time making a long sea voyage in a Viking longboat. You possess some skills which other Vikings respect.

*sigh*
Bekan Wulfmangler
Your Viking Personality: You're a doughty, stalwart Viking. You have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. As a Viking, you're one of the "berserkers", and rush into battle with no clothes on. If the sight of you naked isn't enough to disable the enemy, your sword certainly will be.

You don't have a lot of tact, so it's lucky Vikings never cared much for diplomacy. Other people tend to think of you as manipulative and conniving.
Don't know what they're talking about. Tsk.
Well I was bored so I decided to join in, this is me, a girly viking:
Kaðlín Madhawk
(Well, actually, that wouldn't really be your name -- since you're female, your name would be something like "Kaðlín Björnsdottir". But this is the twenty-first century, and you want to be known for who you are, not for who your father was, right? Right.)
"Your Viking Personality: The tougher Vikings might let you on the boat, but generally only when they need ballast [I know I've put on a bit of weight recently but I think thats a bit harsh!]. Unlike most Vikings, you don't have a quick temper; you tend to think about your actions before you undertake them. Sometimes you think too long [I really doubt that!]. You probably know which end of a sword to hold, but you're not a fearsome fighter by any stretch of the imagination [Vikings never heard of PMT obviously...].
A long sea voyage aboard a Viking longboat would be difficult for you [should be ok as long as Ive got plenty of ginger biscuits and Stugeron], but you might be able to manage it. You possess some skills which other Vikings respect [like the ability to multitask apparently!].
People who've known you for a while don't always trust your word. You sometimes come off as a bit of a snob. Vikings are not snobbish people -- they either like you, or they kill you. Try to be more like a Viking."
I think this is a fairly accurate description actually and Im not so sure that thats a good thing!
