Several people have asked about my inverted twin 10's, they've even had visitors! (hi Pete & Jan). So... I've uploaded some pictures and a few words to the Gallery.
See http://gallery.bsacforum.co.uk/showgallery.php?cat=542&ppuser=2 (sort it by filename for the sequence), comments more than welcome of course.

Cheers Keith,
Are the bands at the boot end of the tanks over the boots, or is it just gaffer tape that makes it look that way?
Ben

They are cut down and the gaffer tape holds them on and protects the cylinder finish from the bands.

I'd have thought an extra hole in the backplate would have been better.
Then the bands could be closer without messing about.

Then the bands could be closer without messing about.I needed to keep the standard 11" spacing as that's the spacing on my wings. My junior wing only has one set of holes at 11" spacing, I would have had to add holes to the wing. My twins will also fit any backplate and wing with the standard spacing.
Easiest way out of it IMHO :)

SDS do a bar which has 11" holes and a seperate hole somewhere in the middle which is optimised for 10l twinsets. I used to have one, and I don't remember whether I sold it with the 10l twinset or not when I got rid of it. I'll have a look when I next get into the attic in Edinburgh - if I've still got it you're welcome to it. Neat, effective solution and allows much more control of trim.

Well I did have.
It's probably somewhere in the workshop....
(edit)
Hey! I've just looked at your harness rigging pics!
You've got one too!
What was that excuse again?
(/edit)My twins will also fit any backplate and wing with the standard spacing.Oh come on. Where are you going to haul the twins off too where the backplate isn't part of the package?:D
I'm not sure I want to try and pick them up without sliding my arms in the harness.
Especially since a club member has borrowed my Bull Bars to invert his twins.
Shock horror Keith and I have something in common
You really should remove the boots though

You really should remove the boots though :wink:Come off it. Inverts and boots is the recipe for bumping your way through a really tight place.

Admit it the main reason for these two is to really wind up the DIR crowd

Admit it the main reason for these two is to really wind up the DIR crowdIs that why it looks like someone has laid your cyls on the floor and upended a kitbag over them?

That's also the reason for the clip ;)And my 300bar Steels.
Come to think of it maybe the bright yellow webbing was a bit of a fashion statement too.

I don't think you have ever seen my kit

Is the type of guard you are using available for Alloy cylinders in the UK?
Are both of your second stages handed for your use?

Is the type of guard you are using available for Alloy cylinders in the UK?It's a standard Custom Divers valve guard. [FX : Breaks to go and grab vernier calipers, measures cylinder neck diameter...]If alloys have a 40mm neck diameter then they should fit, whether it's recommended on alloys I don't know.
Are both of your second stages handed for your use? They are both handed. The secondary is for me only, it's bungied, it's trapped behind the wing :) The primary is on a standard 1.5m hose and completely free, more than enough hose to donate gas in any position or angle.

Thanks for the info. I think that Alloy tank necks are a little short but I will look into it.

The frame we are going to use on SWMBO'd twinset does not bolt on to the cylinders, instead it uses the bolts on the twining bands. I got them second hand so can not advise where to get a set but the fact they exist could help
