How do all
It's time I got me a dry suit.
The local pervayor of dive equipment (a real nice bloke) has what seems like a reasonable deal for an aqua tek cx500, I would like to patron this shop because he has really helped me so far with setting up regs and bcds etc, which were purchased elsewhere privately and second hand, but I do want to get the right kit.
So I'm just looking for opinions or locations of reviews on this suit and company before I take the plunge, excuse the pun:D
Thanks

Dave,
Are these the ones that Cannock Scuba make themselves? Their own brand. If they are there are a few in our branch (Stafford) and they appear to wear well and everyone seems happy with them.
I will ask around this weekend for you (Off to Pembrooke :) with clun) and get back to you on Monday with peoples views who have got them.
Cheers,
Gareth.

Hi Garreth. Thanx
I don't know the answer to that. However The shop may be part of Cannock scuba but is in Newcastle 'u' Lyme, they do have a shop in Cannock
To be honest I'm going over this morning to buy it because I would like to get a pool session out of it before using it in open water next weekend. (It'll be my first time O/W also)
Ive found a web site for aquatek.http://www.aquatekdrysuits.co.uk it seems they are based in Dengby north Wales seems that it is used by the Police, F.A.R.S, mountain rescue? BBC underwater film crews, The Environment agency, RSPCA, Etc
I was just after some impartial advise as to how this brand was thought of within the diving community.
Any thoughts are welcome.

Dave,
Yep, the shop in Newcastle and Cannock are the same company. Its worth a drive down to the shop in Cannock, they have loads more stuff there!
You won't go far wrong with them, its a nice suit.
Gareth.

Thanks for taking the time Garath.
I just spoke to the owner of aquatek who was a really nice bloke as well. He told me about all the Agencies who use them including the Police, London Air Ambulance, Staffs fire service, BBC Etc and explained a bit about the company's credentials (They are as long as your arm) and their intention. He seemed very sincere, all the stuff is made in wales. It's a small Company with 14 staff. and it's all hand made in there. Any probs with their kit (although he stated the failure rate is under 1.5%) and it goes back to them, they sort it out immediately and its returned within a few days fixed.
All seems good. So I'm off to get me a dry suit.
By the way Garath you must be close to me if your in Stafford BSAC, I'm close to Eccleshall.
Thanks again
