Just realised I had not posted a intro to myself well here goes

I qualified 5 years ago with SSI doing my book work here and then did my qual dives in St Lucia. Not been diving much since just a bit here and there.

Loved every moment I was under the water and am getting my own kit so I can do some in the UK waters.( god its expensive :rolleyes: )

Will be off to the Maldives in 5 weeks and hope to complete my PADI advanced course.
Will probably look for a local BSAC club when I get back home and hope I have a better experiance than I did last time.

I live in Essex near Colchester and the Suffolk Border

Enjoy your holiday. But please, don't call the course 'PADI advanced', it's the 'PADI Advanced Open Water Diver' course and in my view should have been called, perhaps 'Slightly More Advanced Open Water Diver". :)

Having said that, it's a worthwhile course. I would suggest that you try to get it done before you go. That way you won't tie up holiday time with the course.

There are a fair number of BSAC Advanced Divers who use this site. Trust me there is a world of difference.

I cant do the course before I go due to my work shifts, holiday is the best time for me to get some training and develop my skills

Recently purchased my own regs and will get my BC soon and then hopefully join a BSAC club near me and carry on with my training.
