Ive just heard that an added extra to our club trip to the Red Sea will be marine park fees. I understand that some boats include this in the price but not ours! anybody any idea as to how much these costs will be, per person etc?

for what its worth we will be diving the reefs of the southern Red Sea.

thanks in advance,
richie.

I've just returned from the Red Sea and can tell you that the marine park fees for Ras Mohammed were 35le a day (approx £3.50) per person. I would guess that they are the same wherever you go?

Having dived with a few dayboat operators over the last year or so, they all seem to add it in as an extra. It's only the liveaboards that include it as far as I know.

Worth it to keep the sites in the park as gorgeous as they are. You will see the difference between them and the ones around Sharm.

Marine Park fees can be anything up to £100 for liveaboards, which is why I only ever book with Tony Backhurst.

Some operators look cheaper but not when all the extras have been added up.
