Can anyone clear this question up. I have seen advertised two different lenses for the MX-10 camera. One lense is the 'Macro' lense. The other is the 'close up' lense. Silly question...but are they different lenses?

Yes.

One is a macro lens used for close up shots. It has a framer on the front so you can line up your subject and get it in focus. I bent mine so the little prong kept coming up in my shots so I took off the framer. Think the MX10 is about 10cm so I think the closet and furthest away your subject can be is 10cm. (for small critters you can get close to)

The close up lens brings ths subject closer bit obvious sorry. For the subject to be in focus it has to be at least, as I remember, 50cm away.
Hope that helps a bit (for larger critters you can't get close to but want to fill the shot)

Hope that helps a bit.

Yes, that does help. Thanks. I just wasn't sure whether there were two lenses, or that people just called the same lense two different names.
