Anyone been to these Maldive Islands recently?

Any good? Was the coral OK? Did you manage to see mantas , whale sharks etc.
Any info would be useful as, ofcourse, the simply brochures tell you how wonderful they all are; making the choice that more difficult.
I am organising a trip for March/April 2007, and looking for Islands that will cater for non-diver as well. Vilamendhoo seemed good but according to the brochure it does not have a pool (which is essential for some of our non-divers ! ).
