Hey guys... probably not the best place to put my question but I am kind of new to the whole "forum" thing and i thought you could help me :?
I am looking for a gps navigation software for my mobile phone and i found a company on the internet called nav4all. The thing is that some friends of mine are already using another company called tomtom, but for which you have to pay, which is not very possible for me..
i want to ask if anyone has used the software of nav4all before and if it safe, before i install it on my phone. could i also get a virus lke that?
i will be thankful for any opinions, thanks :)

A google search for Nav4all..turns up so many different forums with a post almost exaclty word for word what you have posted here...that I'm fairly convinced that this is SPAM!

Please convince me otherwise

On the basis that this is genuine, one of the most important aspects of such software is accuracy of the mapping data. Accuracy costs money. There have been some problems with the paid for data, so I would expect worse with any kind of free mapping.

As usual you get what you pay for. Don't complain if it gets you lost or lead up the garden path.

Nav4all uses maps from navteq, so the quality is pretty good...if you dont know navteq, just googling it...

I know there are many postings about this software, some people belive its all spam, but I downloaded it from getjar and actually tried by myself. For Amsterdam area, it works well, though the map cannot be seen clearly on the phone and u need some time to install it.

I think the price is soo cheap becuase its an onboard software, which doesnt require hardware support, all depends on centre server.. something like those online flash games on the phone, you play for free but you pay for internet...

why spam ??
i think the software is gaining popularity especially in Holland and Belgium and people want to know more about it because it is free and appealing !

I am very satisfied with its features ,i use it mainly in France, but right now i am ni Taiwan and it also has coverage here which is great..Well , my phone bill is not that great ,but this is another topic..

Maybe because "la_nina" has only put one post on this forum and the subject has little to do with diving?

Cheers,

And further to that anyone with anything positive to say about it also has only one post.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are all coming from the same IP range. (or even the same machine)

Thread closed.

If someone wants to know about the software, they can still find these comments.

3 new single post users supporting it is stretching credibility.
