Server Maintenance tonight

Hi All.

There will be the very briefest of disruptions to service this evening, probably after 11pm (unless I fall asleep first).

I've got some new code to install which will mean restarting the webserver. There will be only a few seconds of downtime, but you will probably lose any sessions you've got open.

As ever, I'll keep an eye on activity, and wait until I see a bit of a gap, but it would be better not to try to post at about that time...

Well I might have noticed, but since i've had thousands of pages time out on me over the last few months i'm used to it. Stupid University can't run a network, grrrr :mad: Now they've just decided that our network should be considered "at risk" indefinitely, and think thats an acceptable answer!

Grab a copy of Ethereal. Send a dump to your SysAd, showing where the problem lies.

He's much more likely to fix up a known problem than go investigating...

It's true. It should be considered "at risk". Permanently.

Why that precludes giving a good service is beyond me, though...
