Have just completed course with Martyn Farr using side mounted twinsets. This was in the setting of cave diving, but it seems a joy to use. I am intending to move to side mounted twin cylinders this year, but am wondering which wing to use for this configuration in open water conditions.I would think that at least at first I would be using 2x 7 to 2x 12 litre steel cylinders.I do not think that I would be using back mounted cylinders. I would keep my current BCD(COMMANDO TD) for single tank diving. Any ideas guys?

Hi Dave,

Have you looked at the Dive Rite Transpac and Trek wing. Search around their website and there is all the info on how to adapt it for sidemounting. They do all the additional hardware etc. I've dived with it, and its very comfortable, and knocks the spots off sticking a tank and valve on your back where you cant reach it.

Good luck

Paul
