In a couple of weeks a group from our branch are off to Calpe, north of Benidorm on the Costa Blanca, diving with Les Basetes dive centre. A variety of scenic sites are listed on Les Basetes website, but no wrecks. None on other nearby dive centres' websites either. However, there are 2 wrecks shown on the chart in about 25m at 38 42.3N 000 11.1E and 38 46.7N 000 12.6E, around 7 and 13 miles northeast of Calpe respectively.
Does anybody know anything about them?

Richard
Have a look at this page. They mention a BSAC club who dive the area and some other groups which might be of interest. The page mentions a submarine wreck at 40m and several others.

Have only dived the rocks and reefs around there personally. What sticks in my mind, is the often vicious thermo/haloclines especially around the headland at Calpe!!! Have you ever tried screaming underwater? :)
Hope you all have a great time and look forward to hearing about it afterwards.

i know there is a wreck off of denia which is just a short drive up ths coast past Javea. also the is a beach near here that is called the cumbre del sol. great cavern/cave dive. this dive is breath taking and safe for all levels. although the cave is not. hope this helps cheers
Hope the wreck info was helpful from the others - I was going to say the same as suzuki600! I went to Calpe last summer, such a lovely place, you've made a good choice. There are some lovely Spam Link Removed in the area if you are interested in taking a look - we stayed in Casa Luna and it was beautiful.
