View Full Version : DL lectures wait
Hi,
I'm struggling to arrange DL lectures for myself at my club. Are there any alternative ways of having the DL lectures? Like regional BSAC lectures?
Thanks
Mark.

Where are you based Mark? If you post that up then other local clubs/instructors will have a chance to offer their services!
Ben
If you do the O2 Admin SDC, then this signs off 6 lectures, and the PRM SDC signs off another three. I think the Dive Planning and Marshalling lecture also signs of another one.
As a result, we encourage our trainees to do the O2 and PRM SDC, and only run three DL theory lectures.

Just to complete the set, search and recovery signs the shot line lesson off and Advanced Nitrox completes the mid-water SMB dive. That only leaves 3 open water lessons (off the top of my head).
Where are you based? Yorkshire region have a DL event in the planning stages.

Does that mean since ive done the Adv Nitrox course you will sign my mid water DSMB DL dive off then Paul?
Please :)

No...cos Paul was not there to see it done!
However - your Adv Nitrox instructor could sign it for you (if they are still avaialble to you)
Or...your DO should recognise the training and countersign it on his behalf (with a note referring to ANx xx/xx/xxx...and allow you to count it towards the qualification.
In any case - as Paul points out - you can show that by completing these various SDCs that you have coinicidentally completed much of your DL training and be exempt from a formal DL course.
All the very best
John

And anyway Chris it's good for you to do it again :)
If you're completely happy with your midwater DSMB deploying skills then it will be no problem for you to bung another one up!

Yes (as I was the course boss I think), but it won't hurt you to do it again ;)
