Hi all,
Western Isles, Scotland Trip: 11th-18th August 2006
1 space has become available on our (Croydon BSAC) West of Scotland trip, this promises to be a superb week with some of the best wrecks, reefs, topside scenery and viz available in the UK. For those into wildlife it is one of the spots where the chances to see dolphins, whales and seals are high. Because of depths minimum is Sports Diver
I have been told that the viz is almost guaranteed to be regularly in the 10-20m range and can extend even beyond that. Water temperatures are normally a tropical 12-14 C at that time of year.
Wrecks; a selection which may include the following amongst others - please note that the range of the boat is quite large so actual route/wrecks will be decided during the week; here are a few tasters

The idea is to stay on the Liveaboard "Gemini Storm"; this is a new liveaboard which is currently being fitted out for next season; she was formerly the prototype and first "Severn Class" RNLI all-weather offshore lifeboat. The boat will sleep 10 in 5 twin cabins
Cost is between £580-600 all inclusive with 3 meals a day and air; Nitrox is extra. Only other costs are getting to Oban and beer. The boat will depart and return to Oban and the week will be spent touring the archipelago off Western Scotland, touring round Mull, the Small Isles, Isle of Skye and the Outer Hebrides, overnighting in various seaside towns and fishing villages such as Toblemory to provide some shore interest.
