HI All Sys Admins
How do I send an invitation to someone to join the Forums (& gain myself some referrals)?

Hi Gareth,
Send them an email containing a URL for referral.
See this help page for detail:
http://www.bsacforum.co.uk/forums/faq.php?faq=vb_board_usage#faq_vb_referrals_explai n
It will give you a referral URL specific to you, just like this one ;)

By far the easiest way is to use the 'Thread Tools', 'Eail this page'. Try it :)

'Eail this page'
Or if that fails try using 'E-mail this page' ;)
Oh - and I'm lead to believe there's even a spell checker on IE, for those of that persuasion :D .
Cheers,
Tristan

Does it work in MSN Messenger...if my eldest got spelling hints there it would save me, and her teacher, many a grimace!
She's always "chatting" to someone ...but her spelling makes reading what she puts "interesting"
If so...where can I get it from?

Didn't use it yourself then?
The phrase you're looking for is 'led to believe'.
Black, kettle, pot, in any order you like.... :D

I don't use IE - as the latest available version won't show this forum correctly on a Mac  . Now if anyone can point me in the right direction of some spelling tools that will work for Safari I'd be most happy
Mr Pot (obviously)

You mean there's actually an advantage to using IE and a PC?
Strewth.... :D
I'm one of those extremely fortunate people who don't generally need a spell checker.
Not being dyslexic or 'educationally challenged' is something I had taken for granted for a long time. Seeing how some people struggle with writing even the simplest of emails has made me a lot more thankful for my ability to read and write. And a lot more tolerant with other people. :)
Mr Black. (Not the one in Reservoir Dogs)

Tristan, spell checking is built in !!! If you start writing in say the reply box, go to the edit menu, select spelling, and then select check spelling as you type , hey presto:). Has saved me much embarrassment ;)
Personally wouldn't touch IE with a barge pole now (even if I did have a PC) with the number of security holes it has, Microsoft have inferred as much themselves till they roll out their next patch on 11 April !!:D

Peter,
Thanks for that tip. Now if only it could scan for blatant stupidity as well!
TBH - I only use IE to check that our website looks okay when I'm editing it in Safari.
Cheers,
Tristan
