The story of the MARES AIRLAB ??

Bought a Mares Airlab Feb 05

At 25 m in July 05 it tells me I'm at 80 odd meters and have serious deco to do

Sent it back. they replace it (29.9.05)with a new one telling me they have never heard of a problem like this

Last Thursday (9.3.06) Im in 2m of pool water... my airlab says Im at
82m with my first deco stop @ 12 etc etc etc once again its f***d !!!!

It is sent back again this time to HEAD who have taken over from Blandfords


HAS ANYONE ELSE had this problem with a MARES dive computer or any other make

Have you had problems with the third yet?
...or did you decide to switch allegiance and try a different make/model?

As you probably know Blandfords no longer deal with MARES, now they were able to get me a new puter fairly quickly but alas the new dealers HEAD say they are sending it back to Mares which I suspect will take ages :(

My confidence in the puter has been dented no doubt and wether i accept a new one or tell them to show me the money Im not quite sure yet.

Suunto Vytec is looking good at the moment

......... 3 weeks ago 17 Oct 2006 the bloody thing blew the hose through the gel at the back of the unit............... once again they are sending me a replacement unit...... however 3 weeks later it has yet to arrive

What is wrong with these units ?

Well things don't sound to good to me PP. I'd be asking for my money back. Sale of Goods whatever. Not fit for purpose. And get something else.

15th March to 7th November I'm assuming you've had your replacement for some time or something to tide you over.
I think i'd be wanting something else after two sepperate computers have done the same thing twice.
