View Full Version : El gouna
Ay up !!
Going to el gouna at the end of the month. Can anyone recommended any of the local dive operations for day trips and the like ? Staying at Sheraton Miramar so close-ish to there would be great.
cheers

Possibly worth a look in the Travel Club (http://www.bsactravelclub.co.uk/reports/index.html) trip reports.
Not been there myself.

I can endorse Diver Tribe after a couple of trips diving with them, a well organised and relaxed organisation.
Based at the Movenpick they pick up at the El Gouna Hotels.
After the checkout dive competent divers generally get the freedom to dive without the guide of they wish which is nice if you want to avoid the crowds.

Dive Tribe were not too bad but I think we caught them on a bad week. The staff seemed to be having problems communicating with each other. I got fed up having to prove I was a competant diver to a different dive guide every day...and explaining why my snorkel was not on my mask!
I used to work for the divetribe, and can definately recommend them. They will pick you up from anywhere in El Gouna, so that's easy. If you're interested in going to the divesites further North, Blue Brothers tend to go there more often than the Divetribe.
I've dived with TGI who, iirc, are based at the Sheraton. I've also dived with Dive Tribe. Both outfits were excellent, and I'd recommend either.
Was out there last December, Dived with Dive Connection.Great Set Up,Boat dives to Abu Nuhas no extra cost.www.diveconnection.com
 Thanks for the comments
Going to use TGI - no bad comments and they are based at the hotel where i am staying so seams easiest option.
