How many levels are there? We'll there's currently 15 so you've got a looonnngg way to go, then we make up some new ones for you :) As you can see it's close at the top with several people just hoverring on the border to the next level - so there's averything to play for.

Who has the 'power'? Well that's a tricky one! The forums constantly calculate the points power of your own blob awards, it depends on -

The number of posts you have made
Your current repuation level
How long you've been registeredPlus of course... it's all under Sys Admin control. We can fiddle with the parameters to keep you all guessing and completely change the rules if we want to :D

The BSAC Windbag Calculator was just a little more fun than cricket scores again! Considering the student this morning had been manually adding up values and retyping them :eek: I think she did rather well :)

My thoughts exactly Ade. I need some serious bottom dive to get me "new season" confidence after a dry winter. I'm not fancying 30m+ at the bottom of the channel as a first dive!

I did get in this weekend but lost both buddies (one lost - careless - two lost - oh s**t time!) within about 10 seconds so we canned it and ate chocolate digestives on the boat!

One thing tho - I know I have enough weight with the dry/s so sink in the sea so I can start off loading some lead - and the new gloves were TOAST!!!

Shouldn't we be looking at the ratio of blobs to posts rather than a simple count.

for example;

I have an average of 1.7 blobs per post
John Williams is on 1.64
Andy Wade is on 2.37
Keith is on 1.13
Adrian is on 0.76


The moral here? Quality not quantity !! :)

I think you may have a point. Mind you, sysadmins do a great job :) and should get credit for their work.
