I've just had a phone call from Brian down in Plymouth saying that the viz has gone to **** and there is a silly swell. I reckon I'm Jinxed. Every time i try to go down to plymouth for fun diving it gets cancelled for some reason. So I'm at a loose end this weekend. Rachael and I have the car packed, twinsets (almost) filled, kit ready, and nowhere to dive.I don't really want to go quarry dipping (unless it's a unusual quarry) so has anyone got any suggestions of what to do?
Failing that I'm gonna just go and get horribly horribly drunk and pass out.
Grrrrr, Was looking forward to getting my new camera in the water on some wrecks.
Grrr

Get yourself up to Oban......
10-20m vis last weekend, protected sites throughout...
I heard from a fellow club member that a trip from Eastbourne (on our regular boat) was canned before anyone got in the water due to the crap vis + rest of this weekends trips have also now been cancelled.
Have a load of newbies been out in the Channel kicking up the silt? :)

Dunno what you were planning on diving, and how far out, but we were in Plymouth yesterday and it was nice.
We dived ITVO(*) HMS Elk at it was nice and light at 30m, with visibility around 6m. There was a slight swell, but nothing to worry about.
Paul.
(*) ITVO - In The Vicinity Of.... :D Is it just me, or does everyone struggle finding this little wreck! Both GPS & Transits failed this time.

Paul,
I do believe that Elk Reef is a well known dive. Not done it myself yet :D
