Me and SWMBI and the black dog are planning a couple of weeks holiday:cool: in June and have talked about heading to Pembrokeshire in the campervan. We've never been over that way so we don't really know much about the area.
Can anybody give us any info on the diving, ie: dive centres, dive sites, accessability for a 21" long motorhome,(after Porthkerriss last year, it can only get better! ), in fact anything at all would help.
We're not overly obssessed with deep stuff or any particular type of diving but as SWMBI is into photography,(no, not that kind :o )we prefer scenic stuff and shore dives suit us nicely if truth be known. We don't mind a wreck or two if that's all there is so long as there's plenty of life to see, ( as our families live in Sheffield, we can see all the scrap metal we want when we visit them :D )
Thanks in advance.
Martyn.
There are quite a few diving operators in Pembrokeshire.
Here are a couple that spring to mind..I'll try to dig out some others:

Hope this helps

Hi
I did my AI in Pembrookshire. We dived with Dive Pembrookshire. As an operator I couldn't fault them.
We mainly dived wrecks in the 20 mtr range. Viz wasn't spectacular (we had around 4-8mtrs). Saying that, if it wasn't for the distance I'd certainly want to have another play.
Cheers

Scroll down till you get to the ones on Wales - you will find quite a few on Pembrokeshire.
We also have some information and other links on this page

The Divings in the main is focussed in the area around Skomer (marine Reserve) a mixture of wrecks( the Lucy's a popular wreck) and scenic stuff charter boats out of Dale and Neyland.
Theres is also some shore diving at St Brides and when its not busy Martins Haven. The haven is very busy through the day limited parking wise and with site seeing boats When it quietens off in the evening Martins Haven makes an excellent night dive If I remember correctly smb's are mandatory diving within the marine reserve
Local Dive outfits=

Dive into pembrokeshire
Theres a dive shop at Hasguards Cross Air/Nitrox
There are plenty of caravan sites but they do tend to fill up very quickly that time of year. Theres one right on the beach at Newgale basic facilities but accepts motorhomes. Ive noted on previous visits theres plenty of pull ins that allow overnight parking
Further north up towards St Davids is http://www.celticdiving.co.uk/main_rec.htm
Hope it helps
I've dived twice with dive pembroke and agree- very good outfit. Nice Accomodation too. The Lucy is a must if your OK with around 38m to the bottom 5m vis and a bit dark too. Some nice scenic stuff also: the North wall at Skomer is good with depths down to about 40m if you want to. My favourite bit though was at 3m with razorbills (I think) flying down past me. There again maybe I was narked...Plenty of info on the link below. You can do some reasonable shore diving in Martins Haven too as a warm up.

Unqualified endorsement for Dive Pembrokeshire. Look at their web-site mentioned elsewhere, it seems right up your street.
