I'm very interested to see how much you get. :)
I've got one too, just been fully overhauled and is in A! nick. However, mine is not for sale.

Well!! I don't think there is too much worry about me and your Merlins. ;) Not a lot of offers yet. Glad to hear you are still getting on with yours.
Practice your buddy breathing often. Not many will know about techniques required. But I expect you are up to it!! :p

I'm rather hoping that someone has got a complete dog somewhere.
I've been looking for a twin-hose reg for a while. It doesn't need to be in good nick - it's never going in the water again. In fact, it's a completely non-diving-related project. And, as it probably won't work anyway, I don't want to shell out proper money, nor do I want to wreck a nice piece of kit...
Vic.

Don't think my Merlin is going back in the sea again! :(
Last time I used it was Nov 1981 when I carried out my last Mary Rose dive. Historical value or not?? :p
Moved on since then!!

I think I'll keep mine. Sentimental value is more than that.
Anyhoo, I intend to show some of the newbies how diving should be done. I need a black leaky 'shark skin' wet suit with yellow stripes. I've got everything else, including a black round mask!!

Wot!! I never used one of them. I had an Aqualift, with a blow it up yerself tube. Sadly that is no more. The rubber rotted away.
I'll have to make do with a Buddy horsecollar ablj.

My dearly beloved (Her indoors) chucked my sharkskin with yellow tape out after saying I had embarrassed her on a Red Sea trip. I'm still in mourning!:(
I'm still hanging on to my Merlin though, I've hidden it!:D All that twin hose training came in very handy when rebreathers came along. What price ABLJs making a comeback??
Cheers

Woohooo, Siebe German Merlin Mk VI Twin hose DV I've got one to.
Not for sale though it is in my display cabinet with all the treasure me and erindoors have picked up of various wrecks, everybody has a good nosy in it when they come to our house, amazing how non diving people are fascinated by the old junk, sorry I mean treasure.
Still got my twin hose.
Wish I kept my Snark DV now....
and my Britmarine snorkel with pingpong ball attachment...

Rooting around, I have just found the Siebe Gorman Mark VI Service Manual to go with my dv AND the last service sheet from Collins and Chambers dated 17/1/81. Cost £53.43. Already for my year diving the Mary Rose! Aaaaah!! :p
Siebe Gorman & Co Ltd were located in Chessington in Oct 69 according to the manual. Still there now??? :o

If this guy is still prepared to offer you 50m quid...can I be the middle man and take a cut?
(I'll deliver it for 10%...I've always fancied NZ - and with £5Million in my pocket it'd look even better!)

I've still got a Nemrod horsecollar ABLJ in wellnigh perfect condition which I periodically get out and use to the astonishment of the locals.
It means that I have to borrow a weightbelt since I use a weight integrated Wing nowadays.
Cheers,
Christian
