hi, im based in Malta and currently putting together some gear to start my technical courses. Currently diving every morning, weather permitting, which at the moment means waiting for the NW'ly to blow over. Anyone with technical gear for sale, let me know.

Welcome aboard. :)
If I read your post correctly, and I may well not, you're preparing to chew off rather more than you should.
Subject to the above, relax, get some experience at this thing anf only then go the tech route (if you then still want to).
It's, most definitely, not a race.

Im new to the BSAC forum but have been diving for 25 years, so I certainly have not rushed into things. Thanks for your concern anyway. Its all been recreational diving but the challenge of the technical aspect of diving is very appealing. I currently hold TDI advanced nitrox and as mentioned earlier, in the process of putting together all the equipment needed.
Welcome to the BSAC forum. I am thinking about doing the Trimix Courses too. If you need more experience then I certainly do with only 20 years diving.
What course are you thinking of doing?
