Dear All
The following global email has just been sent to all of our bsac.co.uk email users -
Dear User
We are sorry to have to announce the closing down of this service, on 20th March 2006 the facility will be switched off and from that date no emails can be accepted to or from the bsac.co.uk domain. New registrations have already been turned off, for the present existing users may continue to receive email and access them via web mail on http://www.bsac.org/services/mailtoclose.htm
The decision to close the service has been taken due to repeated abuse of the facility by people not associated with the BSAC and the spam levels that our genuine users have been experiencing. The external provider of this service does not support the tools and facilities that we would need to address these issues, so in order to protect our members and the good name of the BSAC we have reluctantly decided that the only option available to us is to withdraw it. We would like to apologise to our genuine users for this inconvenience.
