New Posts tab

When I click New posts it is not showing all the available posts. I though it might be only showing public forum stuff but it is not showing some of them.

ie new posts are newest at the top and get older going down but I am aware of post that have last time stamps sort of in between the new post ones.

Is it something I am doing (or not doing)

It only shows the posts you haven't read. I take it if you know about posts it is because you have read them. Make sense?

We discovered a discrepancy between new posts count and new threads (the current option is actually new threads) when the system was first on test and it was decided to remove one.

I think we removed the wrong one but it's a vBulletin problem...

Hi Gary,

Have you bookmarked the "New Posts" page and are you attempting to use that bookmark to get new posts?

If you want to use that method you need to link the bookmark to:

http://www.bsacforum.co.uk/forums/search.php?do=getnew

This then generates a search and gives you a web page with a different URL - something like

http://www.bsacforum.co.uk/forums/search.php?searchid=35629

which is then a static page. Just bookmarking the page with search results on it will return you to the same (not updated) search results page.
