Finally the high pressure looks like it will hold through Sat and as a result we are planning to head offshore in search on cetaceans.
There is a survey aim as well as a "jolly" as any photos taken (with the owners permission) will be used to help with a database that is being established for photo identification of white beaked dolphin.

The reports we have are that there are definitely dolphin in our target area now, but as with all such wildlife enounters there are never any guarentees! If I didn't think there was a good chance of seeing them I wouldn't be going!! This is also one of the reasons why recent trips have been cancelled as we've been waiting for the right conditions and this Sat (Oct 1st) looks good.

In short this is snorkel only - so anyone uncomfortable with snorkelling in deep, open sea upto 25miles from the harbour need not apply.
The trip isn't cheap ... £70 per snorkeller ... before you ask - I get none of the money - all money to skipper direct please. Why so expensive?? Because we will be using a very fast commercial 30ft RIB with twin 200hp petrol outboards that will take us from Seahouses to the target area in less than an hour. In addition places are restricted for safety and minimal numbers in sea.

Kit wise details will be sent by email to those able to go.
Anyone interested but unable to go this Saturday feel free to email and get on the distribution list for places later in year. bburville@hotmail.com
