Hi there,
I'd like to book an IFC place and need to know the locations of the Eastern region and East Midlands region. Geographically speaking, I'm in a bit of a dead zone and could be close to either. Can anyone shed any light on it. Also, what do I need to take books wise. Thanks in advance

Well, I can't help you with where the Eastern/East Midlans regions hold their IFC courses but I can say that you can choose to attend whichever location suits you - i.e. you do not have to attend within your own regional boundaries only.

Email the regional coaches and they will no doubt give you an idea of where the courses are usually held and then you can choose.

As for books, you don't need anything as such but you will certainly find having access to your previous training material useful for the lesson and presentation planning exercises. Some flip-chart or similar paper and a few coloured pens and blue-tack and such like can be useful too, however, from memory, if you book on a course you get quite a comprehensive explanation of what to expect anyway.

All good stuff and low key, very good course - I hope you get the chance to develop afterwards.

I did mine in the London region and it was near Twickenham area
Some others from our club did one in Huntingdon, Eastern region.

Although they don't send confirmed details out until 2 weeks before the course.

Thanks Guys.
Going to book Eastern. If it is Huntingdon, thats only 40 mins away. Hate standing in front of a group so hope my nerves don't get to me.

Hi there, saw you post re "standing in front of a group". Just to say - don't worry - you only do your lesson in front of a very small group and by the time that bit comes round you have already worked together through various other exercises so the ice is broken - you are among friends, all in the same boat.

It's a great course, don't worry about standing in front of anyone. it's just a small group, 3 or 4 people, when I did it..

Anything you do standing up in a group after that will be laughably easy.
