Why can't I find any on ebay?

I just want 2 din adapters to fit A-Clamp regs onto a twinset.

Anyone?

TIA

I see from another of your posts that you are just getting into diving.

There are two DIN sizes: one for 232 Bar and one for 300 Bar.

Talk to someone in your Branch about kit and configuration, as it’s easy to buy kit you don't need.

Normally you get adaptors to fit din regs to yoke valves. These normally screw onto the DIN fitting on the reg, and then you have a standard a-clamp which goes over the pillar valve.

The opposite (what you want) is trickier, unless you have inserts for your DIN valves. This assumes that you have the little dimple on the back of the valve. You can probably buy DIN inserts from most dive shops. If you don't have the right kind of manifold on the twinset, I would probably consider changing it for a new one. Most cylinder valves today are DIN with a DIN insert for A-clamp.

You can find lots of pictures of the various types of DIN fittings on Nigel Hewitt's website. http://www.nigelhewitt.co.uk/diving/din.html.

Alternatively you could get a DIN charging adapter and use that in your DIN valves to provide a female a-clamp connection for your regs, but the hose routing will be very messy, and is something I would avoid if at all possble.

SubAqua Products do various adapters as well. Not sure if they do DIN inserts though. http://subaqua-products.co.uk/Catalogue/catalogue.php

hope this helps

Thanks for the replies, must admit I didn't realise that 232 and 300 bar fittings were different.

Markwan - thanks for the info, much appreciated.

this is what I need (pictures from N.Hewitt's site)

maybe only 1 of these, but 2 would be ideal (greedy)

If anyone can find one on ebay please let me know, I've been searching for ages!

Speak to your Local Dive Shop, they should be able to get them for you if they have not got them in stock - they are known as slugs

You'll find these knocking around the shelves of most dive shops, they also sell them in the little packs. Ask down the club as well, most of us have several knocking around somewhere as we take them out of our cylinders as we're all on DIN :) HOWEVER - I've you've got 300 BAR cylinders and seven thread values then you are what is technically known as stuffed.

I did a write up on DIN vs A-Clamp (Yoke) some years back http://www.ukrecscuba.org.uk/ukdiver/dinyoke.htm
