Hi people, I am an extremely new newbie. I haven`t finished my training yet!! I need equipment - all of it. Suits are no good I'm rather different shaped, I could be a seal easily! I have a very good/extremely powerful laptop thats the dogs swinging bits. Its worth £750/900 but I'm open to £500 or kit. I need the obvious - Regs+oct(cold water),BCD(XL) + whatever.

If I was you I would try ebay for selling your lappy, your more likely to more for it that way. Unless theres some kind soul here whos got plenty of spare kit and needs a got laptop.

Its a Novatech clone/generic laptop. Its the same as a lot of distributers eg Mesh, Mitac 8355, etc. Its very fast, the battery lasts 3hrs (thats the AMD for you) I really don't want to loose this,:( but I need BCD,Regs etc, etc....
I have masses of software - I still have my base network, but this laptop was my baby. It runs the latest games - Doom, Farcry, Half Life 2, etc. at very respectable frame rates. The AMD chip has a 1mb cache, so it is speedy. 1 gig memory means multi-tasking is not a problem. It has no marks and no bad pixels. The DVDRW is just superb. I have not had a coaster from this machine, it is that good. If you want a laptop - this is it.
