From Webmaster Paul - Freshwaterdiver.com. Just to let everyone know that local West Cumbria Branch BSAC members who are also members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue team have been assisting in persuading "Marra" the Maryport Marina Dolphin to leave the marina.
Marra has shown himself to be quite content to stay much to the delight of the hundreds of tourists now visiting the Marina.
May I also mention that Freshwaterdiver has a new home at http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/freshwaterdiver/ where those on broadband can enjoy watching West Cumnbria's BSAC branch members trying to lure "Marra" away from the Marina. Click on the "Special Feature" link for Marra the Dolphin.
Many thanks

Cheers Paul
Great website you have, I've found it very useful on several occasions when organising dives in the lakes to get the info from your site. :)

How about putting a link to this resource in the "links" section?
(Ah..thought it was too good to risk it not going in...so I did it!)

A big thanks to John and Steve for their kind comments on my site. Glad you have all found it useful. If anyone wishes to cross link with me I am happy to do so. Just send me the details in an e-mail. The latest video clips of our Lake district dive sites are up. Ice is on most tarns and some lakes - pleae view the Scuba weather page and news page for the lists.
Marra the Dolphin update: We went to see Marra on Sunday 29th of January and he was still finning around like an old pro. On Monday morning the BDMLR team lifted Marra out of the Marina and he is now looking for a tasty fish dinner minus the chips! Latest news on the freshwaterdiver.com website.

Dolphin reported seen off Maryport after release.
Marra the Dolphin has been reportedly sighted off Maryport harbour.
Marra was released on Monday 30th January, several miles away near Silloth in deep water where it was then reported that he had met another Dolphin within 20 minutes and all appeared well as the two frolicked about.
As of Wednesday afternoon, February 1st he has been reportedly seen in the Maryport area with his friend - (she) has been nick named "Donna".
All eyes are once again looking out to sea and hoping that "they" dont both come into the harbour and get trapped.
new site www.marrathedolphin.com all views and stories would be greatful
