Anyone out there know of a good insurnace policy for Dive Kit. We are going on a trip to the Red Sea and need good cover. Most I have looked at have a per item limit. For instance BSAC is £200 per item and when you are taking top range DV's with air integreated computer that alone is £700, so it wouldn't be covered by the BSAC insurance. I don't know why BSAC doesn't negotiate a decent policy. Anyway enough moaning anyone can suggest a good policy?
Should add this is just for one Red Sea trip, not annual.
thanks
Derek
BSAC members get a discount if you use Dive Master. I have used DM for my kit for years, I had to claim once for a dive computer and they paid up very quickly.
I know a lot of people also use Westfield.

Thanks Fiona i should explain this is just for one trip to the Red Sea not annual. As I explained in my post the BSAC insurance won't cover all of my gear. it won't cover my suit, BC, DV's or computer because it is limited to £200 per single item so basicaly is useless. I don't know many people with these items under £200.
I have annual insurance for Uk only as don't use kit abroad much.
I would suggest you check the value of your gear because you will probably have the same problem, unless you have the annual insurance.
thanks anyway
Derek
