hi does anyone know where to get or buy lenses for masks.
I am sure most LDS sell lenses for masks, I have them in both of mine as long as your mask has two separate lenses then there should be no problem.
Think they cost about £40 pair.

I use Typhoon Exel mask because it is cheap and when it wears out I put the prescription lenses in a new exel mask. (Also I have a little face and this is one of the few that fits!!!!!)
Most places that sell dive masks (LDS) will also send away for prescription lenses to be fitted as Fiona says.
Hi.
Have your eyes tested then take your prescription along to your dive shop, and your mask if it is OK. otherwise buy a new one.
I do not no where abouts in the country you live but Divers Warehouse in Bradford get my mask done for me.
I personally only have one side of the mask done on the left hand side, as I wear my VR3 on my left wrist and read the numbers out of my left eye, leaving my right arm unencumbered for putting in holes to pull out crunchy fish.:D

I have to use varifocal lenses in my ordinary specs, but I have bifocal lenses in my Tusa mask. My optician arranged for his technician to make and fit the lenses to my mask so it might be worth talking to your optician and you may get the job done there. Best of luck.

Try scubastore. I ordered a Cressi Big Eye, with +2.5 presciption lense, on a Saturday and they arrived on the following Tuesday. They only have a limited range of masks to choose from though.

I have a TUSA Liberator mask with lenses (-7 Right & -6 left). Got it from Mikes Waterfront about 5 years ago. Prior to that I used a TUSA mask I bought in 1989, I still have it and it's still usable.
Lenses are available for most two lense masks. Visit your local dive shop with a copy of your prescription and seek help.
An alternative worth considering are disposable contact lenses and a plain mask.
I've been using these for a while now. Since my eyes started to suffer from the dreaded middle age stiffening which results in reading difficulty, I have needed varifocal glasses. I now have trouble reading my instruments with the fixed presciption lenses, I can't get them far enough away to focus and still be able to read them. The solution is a reading prescription contact lens in the left eye and a regular one in the right. Surprisingly the brain sorts it out and I can see fine. Reading the computer, air & depth is no longer a problem.

The TUSA Liberator and Typhoon Exel would appear to use the same pattern as I can swap my lenses between them.

Some Opticians fix lenses in your mask. I know Specsavers do it and it works out about £40. I tought it would be a pain having glasses ready for when I took my mask off. So I wear contacts with a plain mask and have no problems at all. They have never come out even when I get water in them. Also I find my eyes sting less if salt water gets in with contacts. I dont know if this is a placebo effect or whether they protect my eyes a little bit.

I'm a big fan of the contacts line, it means you can still see when you take your mask off and saves having to scrawl round to find your glasses the second you take your mask off. Also means you can keep your glasses somewhere a lot safer.
