Dear reader,
I'm a photojournalist working for the Derby Telegraph and I'm currently working on a special feature regarding marine conservation, and in particular, decreasing fish stocks in our oceans.
In order to get this passed the Editor, I need a local angle on the story.
Therefore, I'm looking for anyone with a Derby / Derbyshire link, who may be permanently or voluntarily involved in marine conservation.
The work itself needs to be hands on, so there would ideally be diving involved and working from boats etc. I also feel that the article needs to highlight the seriousness of the low fish levels, to bring the issue to a wider audience.
My aim is to get people thinking before they throw another tin of tuna into their shopping trolleys.
If you can help, or can point me in the right direction, please feel free to reply to this thread, or PM me.
Many thanks
Matt Harrison
