Calling all you grown-up snorkellers (like me) who don't go in the sea very often due to having no-one to go with.

I'm going to be in Wales, probably Anglesey or the Lleyn Peninsula from the afternoon of Sunday 14th to Tuesday 16th September for a spot of relaxed snorkelling. Anyone interested in coming along? It will be a shore entry & exit, in a nice cove, or end of a beach or something. Wetsuit is essential I think.

I'm open to suggestions for destinations. I have visited Llanddwyn island on Anglesey on foot previously and wondered what it would be like for snorkelling, so that's one possibility. Also Porth Dafarch and Porth Eilian on Anglesey. There's also Porth Ysgaden on the north side of the Lleyn peninsula. I've never been to any of these, but they are recommended shore dive sites in sheltered coves.

Any takers?

In the event that someone reads this in time, I'll be in Anglesey, at Porth Dafarch on Holy Island (northwest of Trearddur Bay) on Monday 15th September for the morning, then at Porth Trecastell (grid ref. SH333 707) just off the A4080 between Aberffraw and Llanfaelog, for low water slack 5pm (ish?).

I'm off-line now until I get back, so maybe see someone there?
