This is not an official email but rather a heads up on the Mayday change as indicated by the RYA. Sorry if you have already seen this.
It was agreed at the World Radio Conference that the Mayday Call info would be changed such that the call includes the vessel call sign. [Normally 5 digits and in addition to the boat name]
An example...
Mayday, Mayday, Mayday
This is Motor Vessel Flam, Flam, Flam
Call-Sign 2GBH4 MMSI 235899982
Mayday Flam. Call-Sign 2GBH4 MMSI 235899982
My position is 50° 13'.22N 002° 44'.30W
Serious Engine Fire
I require immediate assistance
Three persons on board are preparing to abandon to life-raft.

As a memory jogger the word MIPDANIO can be used for the main message part of the call. i.e not the beginning part.
M Mayday
I Identity [Boat name + Call Sign + MMSI]
P Position (either coordinates or position from somewhere e.g 180° from Flamborough head, 2 decimal 5 miles)
D Distress (the problem)
A Assistance (what you want)
N Number of Persons on Board
I Other Information like preparing to get in life raft
