Hi gang. I was about to give snorkelling ago since learning to swim but my local pool and others wont allow the use of snorkelling equipment in general pool opening times only when tthe scuba clubs are on. but i aint joing the club (?250) just to get used of my new snorkel gear.
any ideas why im not allowed and any ideas whast i can do??? I'm in the uk and sea is way to cold. plus pools are fun and safe

Hi,

The reason given by Pool Management is the potential danger to other pool users, especially if the pool is full, caused by the use of fins.

Have you tried finding a Snorkelling Branch in your area or even speaking to the Scuba Branch and finding out if they will give a reduced rate for Snorkellers. My particular Branch work a system for Snorkellers that they only pay for sessions they attend, the Scuba divers pay a set amount whether they attend or not to help pay for the extra equipment we have for them.

I sent a mail response to ur mail but had no joy as of yet. any ideas. i need to get under and lakes and sea are out of the question and also i aint paying 250 of my hard earned pounds to join a club
