has anyone tried to dive at ravens point (off ravenspoint road) just along from treadoor bay on anglesey?

If you have then you will have found that the landowner adjacent to the footpath has illegally closed the footpath

Should you wish to declare your previous use of this footpath to Anglesey council please telephone the footpaths officer Arwel Evans on 01248 752367

Surely if the closure is illegal then there is no need to do so. Don't you just need to get an enforcement to reopen it ?

The footpath is not on the LA's 'definative plan' and therefore is not designated as a right of way, application needs to be made to LA declaring the fact it has been used for many years (in excess of 20 years in the eyes of the law.

I just called Arwel Evans to register my previous use and he said he now has over 50 pieces of evidence, so it isn't necessary to collect any more (though he was at pains to point out that anyone could have a form to make a statement if they wished). He expects the next stage will be a public enquiry. So I guess it's best not to add unnecessarily to the Council's workload by calling him.

So what you are actually saying is that you want it to be declared to be a right of way which is quite different to your original assertion that the path had been illegally closed ?
