View Full Version : advice following arthrodesis of left ankle
can anyone advise me - ihave recently had my ankle fused - this involved some bone grafts and pins ( there is also some metalwork still in place from a previous break)!
Will I be able to learn to dive? If so will there be any restrictions - the obvious will be no movement of the ankle.

I have various anatomical damage and although it gives me problems hauling heavy kit about all anybody medical has ever said is that it might make me fractionally more susceptable to a bend in those areas. Then they qualified it as 'but probably less than forgetting to drink before you dive' so I don't worry about it.
I think you're OK although you may end up with a rather individual finning style.
