I recently purchased a colour VR3 form the dive show. After just 31 dives it is showing ‘batterly low’. Is this normal ?

Ta ducks;)

That doesn't seem right. I'd guess it's either been used as a demo one for a while or the battery is dodgy. Have you dropped vr an email yet as I'm sure they'll sort it out.

Nick, is it a standard 1.5v AA or the 3v (or whatever) lithium? I would not be surprised if a standard battery was low.

It's normal mine does the same especially if you have the light on. Yourlucky to get 31 I got 20 odd and the battery was low

Hi Nick, yes this is pretty normal. Try using Saft 3.6v Lithiums.

These are by far the best for the colour Vr3's. You may also find that the cold effects the battery power too.... I quite often found that even swapping out the old battery for a brand new one, didn't revive the VR3 on cold days... it would continue to show 'low battery'.

Yep lithium batteries don't like the cold. Take your VR3 in the house for a bit.

With mine I found the light hammered the battery so switched it off. Don't really need it anyway as if it is too dark to read the computer you will have a torch on anyway
