Last year we chartered a small dive boat out of salcombe for a series of '4 dive' weekends. These majored on wrecks in the 30-35m range and we had a ball. We are setting this up again but need a minimum of 6 on the boat.

The skipper is local and has fabulous knowledge of all the best sites to try. This year we are planning some deeper stuff too (so twins and rebreathers please apply)

If this floats your boat please contact me for more details and a list of the potential dates.

Jeremy,

You are more likely to get more interest if you put up the planned dates, sites and charter boat. 'Deeper stuff' is vague too, your intended depths matter.

Hi Jeremy,

Could very well be interested, but need to know dates as I work shifts including weekends.

A bit more detail would also be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

Hi - sorry about the poor detail but I didnt have the dates to hand.

We dive wrecks like the Maine (which is brilliant) and other less dived wrecks from 20-35m easily accessible from salcombe. There are few rebreather and twinsets among us so the skipper is planning some in the 40-45m range as well. Dives are two a day over a weekend off a 36 ft hard boat. £45/day including bacon rolland teas/coffees.

April 23-25 - 10 spaces (whole boat - 6 spaces secures)
May 7-8 - 1 space (come on patrick you know you want to!)
May 21-22 - 10 spaces (whole boat - 6 spaces secures)
June 11-12 - 6 spaces
June 25/26 - 7 spaces - 3 more secures)
July 23/24 - 7 spaces - 3 more secures)
August 6/7 - 10 spaces (whole boat - 6 spaces secures)
August 20/21 - 6 spaces

let me know if you are interested and I will put you in touch with the skipper. £10 deposit required per date.

Hi Jeremy
I'm a recently qualified dive leader from Yeovil BSAC with approx 150 dives.
I've got an interest in diving the Maine, as well as depth progression from 35m upwards.
I dive with a twinset and am Nitrox qualified.
Could you give me an update on which, if any spaces are still available?
I would probably be on my own since there a no other twinset divers in my club, however, if there are extra spaces I may be able to ask around.
The dates which interest me are:-
May 7-8
or May 21-22
or June 11-12
or June 25/26

Regards
Roger Barnett

Salcombe is a great place, i used to work at the yacht club at the top of the hill when i was 18 as a bartended. Is the fortesque and spinnaker still there?

I remember when Fat Face opened up there and that shop was their first one.

i know this has nothing to do with your post but i would love to dive there, i imagine it's quite good as people often have trouble in the mouth of the estuary.
