View Full Version : Recommendations for Wales 2011?

Any recommendations for a few days diving (hard boat and accommodation) in Wales?

A little background to assist.

6 – 8 mixed recreational divers in need of 4 days relaxed, mid-week hard boat diving in Wales in early/mid June 2011. I have looked at one of the “centre based” options but I am surprised (and a bit put off to be honest) by some of the apparent costs involved…

Ideally, I am after fantastic, luxury accommodation and a fast spacious boat with a lift and indoor seating for virtually no cost…Failing that I would be happy with quality, clean, en-suite or exclusive occupancy accommodation and a hard boat with an experienced friendly skipper at a reasonable rate.

I have one or two charters to contact (using the Dive Site Directory) but am interested in any recommendations or local knowledge to guide me to the best or maybe some lesser known options I can look at?

Diving would be sports range, nothing flash. RIBS not really wanted.

Thanks

Gav.

PS I am thinking about The Barn at Upper Neeston (if it is available) which appears to accept 6 as a minimum booking. Looks like a good option, especially if it within walking distance of a pub.

Celtic divers. We had a great weekend with them this year, the Russian marching music on the boat was very inspiring :-) and everything from the boat to the beer is either on site or within walking distance.

Speak to Brian Dilly, great guy and can either sort everything out for you or point you in the right direction

Also have a look at http://www.dive-pembrokeshire.com/

We dived with Len a couple of years ago. Good safe skipper.
