Apart from Fort William dive centre, Loch Duich and Loch Ness does anyone know of a good dive site in North of Scotland that has a depth around 50 to 60M? I wish to practice dives to this depth over the winter months, so the site must be able to be dived in any weather.
Scott.

How about the Rhondo?? Bows at 55 then a nice gentle off-gassing back up the hull to 9m. Puffin go out in most weathers and might be worth a call.

Dived with Puffin in the summer, unlikely to again... Boat was great, skipper was great, Puffins centre is superbly equiped.
Why not then you ask? HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR PRICES!!!! Jez, even south coast day skippers don't charge that much and with Puffin you get a rushed two dive schedule with only an hours interval!
As to the Rondo, yeah- it could work.

Very true, but you get the afternoon in the pub...
(If you can afford all that gas why worry, although I'm skint to be honest..)

Those seem to be reasons to justify their being more expensive to me.

I can see no justification for a 1/2 days RIB charter to be more expensive than a whole day on a Hardboat out of Weymouth (undoubtably the busiest diving harbour in the UK)

You managed to get them that far!? In my experience they only go as far as the Breda.
Felt sorry for one couple - was told of all the wonderful wrecks that are in the Sound of Mull but due to a variety of 'reasons' did 4 days of Breda and drift...
