Hello,

I am looking for logbook software that can import dives directly from an Aladin Air Z & Memomouse combination, can import old logbooks in CSV text format, and is future-proof so I don't get stranded (again) with a unique unconvertible file format on a redundant hardware platform.

Does such a logbook exist?

Take a look at JDivelog (http://www.jdivelog.org/features/). Seems to cover most of your requirements and it's Open Source, so you can always fill in any gaps for yourself.

This did look ideal when first viewed, but having spent a few hours playing with it I can't get it to work. Firstly I couldn't install the bundled RXTX 2.1 package - I kept getting "error" without any further clue. I eventually found another RXTX package - v2.2 which I installed manually. However, having connected memomouse and Aladin Air Z, and guessed at a few of the settings (nothing in the manual) I can't get it to transfer.
