Hi, on a dive trip this last weekend, our o2 kit was required to be used, and so one of our o2 administrators started to set the equipment up.
However, after he broke the plastic seal to the o2 bottle it self he was unable to open the valve. After a short while it became apparent that the valve was fully open already and the o2 bottle was empty. luckily there was a second bottle of o2 on the boat, and the dive in question didn't have DCI so all was ok in the end.
I'd like to know if any other clubs/ people have had a similar problem with BOC o2 cylinders. It is thought that this cylinder in question was filled this year, and was definately unused as the plastic seal had to be removed.
