We have found that the Tor Tec range of cylinders we bought 6 years ago starting to fail on inspection at IDEST stations, the most recent is due to the length of thread available in the neck for the valve.

As this is purely a manufacturiing fault does anyone know how to contact TOR TEC.
I still have had no explanation from the test house, as to the reason the cylinder passed the previous two tests.
Have the regs chaged?

Cheap cylinders are dearer overall.

Nope - one of my mates TorTec's failed its first test - shop that tested it was also were he bought it so they charged him a test fee and gave him a brand new Faber

I've heard similar reports on TorTec from a variety of sources, so I guess overall, you get what you pay for. a buddy of mine has had his for about 4-5 years without a problem though.
