TDI Blender is for Enriched Air Nitrox
BSAC Blender is EAN plus Trimix

Is there an easy (i.e. low cost) way of getting the Trimix blender bit without having to pay the ?100+ to do the BSAC Blender course?

I have TDI Entry Level Trimix and want to (legitimately) blend my own and my buddy's Trimix...

Its not the cost of buying Trimix (though its a consideration), it the 3-4 days it takes plus the 2 x 100+mile round trips to drop off the cylinders & then return to pick them up

I can't remember what my TDI Trimix blender course cost but it wasn't two days and it wasn't 100 quid. We'd have got a second dive in if my son hadn't fallen asleep in the car while I was blending test mixes and boiled his head in the sun.

TDI Advanced Gas Blender will give you the Trimix Blending qualification. It's only a 3/4 of a day course

If you can find a school that does it the DSAT gas blender course can include Trimix. Most of the ones near me (South Coast) do not and are Nitrox only. I chose IANTD (but I only need Nitrox as not Trimix qualified). The IANTD course material includes Trimix so you would know how if you needed to.
