diving in italy

Hi I am thinking of planning a trip in itally next year from rome along the coast to nice, france, and was hoping to do a dive or two along the way. I have found a dive centre near Genoa called dws diving, but wondered if anyone else has been diving with them? or could reccomend another centre that would be good and speak english. Also I will have to hire most of the gear as I wil not be able to carry dive gear in my rucksack!!

I am one of the partners in DWS DIving in Santa Margherita (about 30/45 minutes from Genoa) we are UK/Italian owned so language is no issue! PADI/BSAC - resort am happy to give you whatever advice you want about diving in the Portofino Marine Park and also can help advise you re places to stay etc. We are a small friendly diving center. covered boat, dc is 20 meters from port where boat is moored. more than 20 dive sites within 15 minutes from port. email me anytime for more info/help. we have deals with hotels/hostel in Santa, so if you'd prefer to come down for a few days from Genoa for diving, we can organise it. its commutable on the train - very cheap in Italy - Genoa - Santa 2.40 €. 10 min walk from station. we have all equipment that you might want to hire. hope to hear from you. Not always able to keep up to date with who is and who isn't a BSAC dive centre although HQ do update me from time to time.

Just to say that if there any other BSAC centres around the world who would like their info updated. Just send it to us at the Travel Team and we will see what we can do :)

All this being said we do like to keep our list of non BSAC diving centres updated too but in slower time. We try to be an all inclusive team :)
