Anyone help?
I used my new vyper for the first time last week.
Did 2 dives at Stoney and all seemed fine.
I only seem to be able to access dive 2 in the logbook?
Switching between dives goes from dive 2 to end, with no dive 1?
Surface interval is still in there.
It seems to have been wiped, is this possible? maybe I deleted info without knowing it?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Ken.

When in the logbook you are probably pressing plan when you need to press Time.
Try this:
Switch on Vyper so displays 0.0 depth and 21% O2.
Press Mode Button. Mode appears above Time Button.
Press Time Button. Memory appears above Time Button.
Press Mode Button. 3 appears infront of memory.
Press Time Button. Logbook appears.
Press Mode Button. Dive 2 appears.
Press Mode Button. >appears above select.
Press Time Button. Dive 1 appears.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply,
Followed all your steps, but on the last one, i pressed time
and "end" appears not dive 1
As far as I understood the instructions, pressing time at this stage should cycle through all the dives, but only dive 2 and end appear.
Thanks again
Ken.

As far as I understood the instructions, pressing time at this stage should cycle through all the dives, but only dive 2 and end appear.
End means you are trying to go beyond the last dive, try to go to dive three effectively, go the other way

Hi Pete,
Still no joy, tried going up and down numbers but it only goes to dive 2 and then end,
If I press up or down from dive 2 it always goes to end!!
Thanks,
Ken.

The problem has now been solved by Suunto.
Below is an e-mail explaining the problem:-
Dear Sir,
I contacted our Product Manager for diving products about your problem. He was familiar with the issue although it has been corrected by now. There is nothing wrong with your Vyper dive computer itself. The reason for it not showing the first dive is caused by the calibration software used during production. Before delivery the dive computer goes through a 100 meter test dive which is erased from the memory later on. It has turned out that in some cases the first dive becomes invisible as a result. You can, however, get the dive back using the PC-interface with the attached program. Please save the file on your computer and rename it FirstPro_1_0.exe before using it. The document contains information on how to use the program. You did mention that you do not have the interface and software yet, but if you acquire it later on you may want to retrieve the first dive you made. Other dives cannot be erased from the dive computers memory.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause you.
With Best Regards,

Suunto have sent me a small program which when executed corrects the problem in the vyper. If anyone would like the program, please let me know and I can send you a copy.
Thanks,
Ken.
