Steve,

Could that be Sporasub?
They are a French company of long standing but were relatively recently acquired by HTM - That's Mares, Dacor, etc. Currently they do not offer any regulators as they are positioned as the Freediving/Spearfishing brand in the group. Have a look at their US website, in English, at http://www.sporasubusa.com

I think Soprasub is how it gets spelt in the Czech language.

I`ve heard its an Italian/Czech company Est1997 i don`t know if its the same company.

The Sopras wings/bc`s look bombproof i just wondered if the regs were of a similar quality, they`re certainly good value wether hat means cheap and nasty is the reason for this thread.

Check them out at www.bluesports.co.uk

It means cheap & nasty.

Someone turned up on a few web fora a year or so ago, pretending to be an interested customer looking for opinions on the Sopras wings, and posting the link to the shop.

Then someone ELSE posted, saying "Yeah, they do look great, don't they? I'm really tempted. Got any info on how to order?"

Then everyone else would say "No, they look like tacky garbage"

Then one of the first posters would post something along the lines of "Ignore all these naysayers, I was in the shop recently and some marines were looking at them and they were impressed!!"

Then somebody else would point out that the two original "wow they're great" posters were both the same person, and therefore almost certainly the guy selling them.

Then he got flamed to a crisp for everything from his dodgy marketing tactics to his lousy products.

Would rather dive with no BCD at all than use one of the Sopras wings or BCDs...

If you want a bomproof jacket, get a Buddy.
