ok out of interest how many people change there own batterys in the favor and did it work out ok as ?30.00 at a dive centre is a bit pricey when the batterys are only ?2.00..im doing mine now and heres a link in detail of how to do it.
i know you will say if it leaks theres no come back....but if it does'nt you are quids in and places like stoney cove aint ripping you off.

Not sure about Favor, but some of the other Suuntos (Vyper, Vytec, Mosquito) have been changed quite successfully in our club. A similar page to your own on 'How to' is given below.
Cheers

I've got a Favor and changed the battery successfully, and I'm certainly not the most coordinated person in the world.
The only really tricky bit is that you need three hands to put it back together again. I managed, but ideally get someone else to screw in the screws while you hold the pieces in place.
Laters,

Used to have a Favor Air Lux and changed that a couple of times no problems. Standard rules apply, make sure the O ring and its seat is spotless and that the O ring is seated correctly, as they say it ain't rocket science.

have always changed mine in the solution and I am now on about my fifth battery while a member of our club had his changed in a dive shop at a well known inland site and it leaked(even though it was pressure tested, must have been dryly). luckily the battery compartment is sealed from the electronic components and all that was lost was the battery

Is dryly a word ???

As a cautionary tale... my partner has a suunto (?ocotpus). We were tempted to do the replacement ourselves, but in the end took it to the shop - they changed the battery and it certainly doesn't leak - but it also doesn't know that she's diving! It's going back to the shop today (they broke it, they can fix it) - but had we done a DIY job that would not have been an option.
